These docs describe Hypervolic's production exchange, not the prototype.
The prototype at prototype.hypervolic.com
is a paper-trading demonstration on separate code: it trades no real money,
and it differs from what is described here in places. Its options, for one,
are American-style rather than European.
Hypervolic is an exchange for options on prediction markets: calls and puts
on the price of an outcome, which is a probability between 0 and 1. Options are
European and cash-settled in USDC, with a multiplier of 100.
Fully secured. Every short holds its worst case in cash from the moment it
opens. No credit, no margin calls, no liquidations.
Non-custodial. Your USDC sits in a settlement contract on Base that checks
every fill itself, and that you can withdraw from without the exchange.
Signed orders. Every order is EIP-712 data signed by your wallet or a key
you registered, and the contract verifies the signature again before it pays.
How it works
Contracts, prices and fees, security, settlement and custody.
